What is Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji?Collection of revered and divine teachings from different writers of various backgrounds, who preached a unified message and who had each met the infinite, formless, timeless, Ek (One) Akal Purakh. The writings were created, compiled, organized and supported by the 10 Sikh Gurus starting in the 15th century with Guru Nanak Dev Ji. The final and 10th Master, Guru Gobind Singh Ji, explained that the final and eternal 11th Guru would be Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. As the 10 Gurus were referred to Satguru Ji (the True Guru), so too would the 11th and final guru, Satguru Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. The writings are from many linguistic backgrounds (but are written in the same phonetic script of Gurmukhi), are in musical rhyme and rhythm, and follow a structure. The writings start with the digit one with the character Ek Onkar, in reference to Akal Purakh.

Who is Akal Purakh?Ek (One), pervading power, without shape, without form, there in the beginning now ever present and always into the future, in everything and everyone, who is our mind's origin, who we are estranged from, and who we are trying to re-establish our connection with.

Do I have to pay a fee?No money is involved. The platforms are free, and the time and energies of each person from the Sangat (congregation) are volunteer only. We believe in order for the message to be able to resonate in the world, it should be accessible to everyone and therefore there should be no money involved. There are certain background costs that have been put up by certain members, but would have been paid for regardless of participation in this group (eg cell phone, computer, internet connection, etc).
